A group of minor kings who were
probably all contemporary with the 13th or 15th Dynasty.
(These names have been taken
from the Turin Canon, a document preserved on a papyrus
now in the Egyptian Museum at
Turin. The papyrus , a roll of 12 pages, contains a list of royal
names
with reign dates, starting with
Menes and ending with Ramesses II. The papyrus was written
in hieratic style and provides
an accurate list of the kings to the 19th Dynasty. It is considered
the most
reliable king list, supplementing
other lists available.
(The names below are taken from
'The Mummy' by E.A. Wallis Budge - 1925 edition , which
was in turn taken from the Turin
Papyrus).
